AboutThe Role
Buildonix® is seeking a Factory Production Technician (Fitter/Turner & Fabrication) to support the production of high-quality building components for the Buildonix® Building System. This is a hands‑on, multi‑faceted role that involves working across all areas of the production process, both independently and as part of a team. We are looking for an individual with experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry who thrives in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality and safety.
- Fabrication and assembly of steel and aluminium building components.
- Operation of CNC routing machines to streamline production.
- Manufacturing and assembling building components using the Buildonix® methodology (on‑site training provided).
- Occasional on‑site construction work for Buildonix® projects (training and certification provided).
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised factory environment.
- Delivering projects on time and to a high standard of precision.
- Experience in metal fabrication, fitting & turning, or related trades.
- Proficiency with hand tools used in construction and metal fabrication.
- Strong time management and scheduling abilities.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Commitment to workplace safety and maintaining a clean workspace.
- Systematic approach to tasks and problem‑solving.
- Comfortable working around machinery and meeting production timelines.
- Trade qualifications.
- Experience in estimation and costings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project).
- Understanding of R&D documentation processes.
- Team or project management experience.
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works, or similar design software.
- Full‑time role (37.5 hours per week).
- Three‑month probationary period with potential for career progression.
