Inventory Specialist
Inventory Specialist ponsibilities include accurately documenting finished products within state-mandated inventory tracking systems, coordinating inventory before and after packaging, testing, and sales fulfillment, and facilitating sale transactions with sales representatives.
Duties and Responsibilities- Assist in inventory control based on company standards and state regulations:
- Document and enter all inventory from production kitchen into METRC or other state-specific inventory tracking system
- Clearly label all inventory
- Perform daily audits of physical inventory
- Collaborate with Inventory Supervisor or Manager on inventory levels and packaging planning
- Log all transfers from inventory items into finished packaged sellable units
- Fulfill orders, complete manifest documentation, and facilitate the intake and outtake of product with sales representatives
- Receive, stage, and coordinate the flow of raw materials throughout the facility
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory vault and ensure a safe working environment
- Communicate information and respond to questions or suggestions from various levels within the company:
- Report any product or production equipment that appears damaged, spoiled, broken, unusable, or unsatisfactory to supervisors
- Communicate discrepancies in quantities or quality of product
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on business needs
- At least 1 year of directly related experience and/or training in an inventory, analyst or logistics role or environment, preferably in the food or beverage industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have experience working with a high sense of urgency in a fast-paced work environment
- Computer skills:
Microsoft suite, Google, Slack, experience in Jira and/or other management platforms and software preferred - Language skills:
Must be able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and written - Math skills: basic mathematical skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Travel requirements: occasional travel between buildings and sites
- Ability to maintain/manage confidential information
- State regulations require all applicants to be 21 years of age or older
- Serv Safe or Food Handler’s Card preferred
- Will be required to submit to a background check
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification, if required
- Must obtain all applicable state-required permits, licenses, and certifications
Non-exempt employee receiving a competitive hourly wage of $23.00–$27.75 per hour paid biweekly, 11 paid holidays, 80 hours of PTO, 401(k) and fully paid health, dental and vision insurance.
