TIG Welder Trainee

PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies is seeking a TIG Welder Trainee to support production of high integrity aluminum cast components for aerospace and industrial customers. In this entry-level role, you'll learn to perform basic TIG welding on aluminum parts, follow detailed work instructions, and support fabrication and repair operations. Under close supervision, you'll assist with part preparation, fit-up, and post weld finishing while maintaining strict safety, quality, and cleanliness standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with TIG welding of aluminum components under supervision
• Prepare, clean, and fit parts prior to welding
• Follow detailed work instructions, drawings, and weld procedures
• Inspect welds visually and report defects or irregularities
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work area
• Follow all safety, PPE, and quality requirements in a manufacturing environment
• Work collaboratively with welders, inspectors, and production teams
• Participate in training to develop welding skills and process knowledge
• Document work performed as required by shop and quality procedures
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives
