TIG Welder

PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join our precision manufacturing team in Salem, OR. In this role, you will perform high integrity TIG welds on aluminum components used in aerospace and industrial applications. You'll interpret blueprints, follow strict process specifications, and inspect welds to meet rigorous quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Perform precision TIG welding on aluminum cast components for aerospace and industrial applications
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and process specifications
• Set up, operate, and maintain TIG welding equipment and related tools
• Inspect welds for defects and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
• Follow established work instructions, process controls, and documentation requirements
• Collaborate with casting, machining, and quality teams to resolve welding issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies
• Participate in training, continuous improvement, and lean manufacturing activities

Required Skills

• TIG welding (GTAW) on aluminum
• Blueprint and weld symbol reading
• Weld inspection and defect recognition
• Fixture setup and part alignment
• Use of weld gauges and measuring tools
• Basic mechanical aptitude and hand tool use
• Knowledge of welding safety practices
• Understanding of manufacturing quality standards
• Equipment setup and parameter adjustment
• Basic computer or MES data entry
