Position: TIG Welder I
Location: Scio

PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies is seeking a TIG Welder I to support production of high integrity aluminum investment castings for aerospace and industrial customers. This entry-level role performs TIG welding on cast components, following detailed weld procedures, blueprints, and quality standards. Responsibilities include part fit up, basic joint preparation, welding to tight tolerances, and visual inspection of welds. The TIG Welder I will work closely with experienced welders and quality staff in a safety focused, precision manufacturing environment with strong training, clear work instructions, and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on aluminum cast components per work instructions and weld procedures
  • Read and follow blueprints, weld symbols, and basic job travelers
  • Prepare and fit parts, including cleaning, alignment, and basic joint prep
  • Inspect welds visually for defects and support non destructive testing as required
  • Maintain weld equipment, tools, and a clean, safe work area
  • Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and quality standards
  • Document work performed and communicate issues to lead or supervisor
  • Collaborate with quality and manufacturing teams to resolve weld issues

Required Skills
