Aerospace Production Supervisor

Selmet, Inc. is seeking an Aerospace Production Supervisor to lead titanium casting operations at our Springfield, OR facility. In this role, you will oversee a production team manufacturing precision aerospace components, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery. You will coordinate daily workflow, allocate labor and equipment, and monitor production metrics to meet strict aerospace and defense standards. Responsibilities include coaching and developing operators, driving 5S and continuous improvement initiatives, resolving production issues, enforcing safety procedures, and partnering with Quality and Engineering to maintain robust, repeatable manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day aerospace titanium casting production operations
• Assign workloads, manage staffing, and coordinate use of equipment and resources
• Monitor safety, quality, throughput, and delivery metrics; take corrective actions as needed
• Ensure compliance with aerospace quality standards and internal procedures
• Train, coach, and evaluate production team members for performance and skill growth
• Lead 5
• S, lean, and continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor
• Investigate and resolve production issues, nonconformances, and bottlenecks
• Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Maintenance to optimize processes
• Maintain accurate production records, reports, and shift communications
• Reinforce a culture of safety, precision, and teamwork across the department
