PCT - Pacific Cast Technologies is seeking a Furnace Operator to support aluminum investment casting for aerospace and industrial components in Salem, OR. In this role, you will operate and monitor melting furnaces, charge materials, and ensure proper temperatures, alloy chemistry, and melt quality. Responsibilities include following safety procedures, performing basic equipment checks, recording production data, and supporting startup, shutdown, and changeovers.
You will work closely with production and quality teams in a precision, safety-focused environment with training, advancement potential, and opportunities to develop skills in advanced manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor aluminum melting furnaces to support casting operations
- Charge furnaces with metal and additives according to specifications
- Measure and control furnace temperatures and melt chemistry
- Follow strict safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures
- Perform routine equipment checks and basic preventative maintenance
- Record production, melt, and quality data accurately
- Support furnace startups, shutdowns, and alloy changeovers
- Communicate issues to maintenance, production, and quality teams
- Follow work instructions, standard operating procedures, and quality standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work area
