Wax Cleaner

Selmet is seeking a Wax Cleaner to support precision titanium casting production in our Springfield, OR facility. In this hands-on role, you will clean, inspect, and prepare wax patterns used to create aerospace components, ensuring they meet strict quality and cleanliness standards. Responsibilities include handling delicate wax assemblies, using cleaning tools and solvents, following detailed work instructions, recording inspection data, and supporting continuous improvement and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare wax patterns and assemblies for titanium casting production
• Inspect wax components for defects, contamination, and dimensional issues
• Handle delicate wax parts carefully to prevent damage or distortion
• Follow detailed work instructions, travelers, and quality procedures
• Use approved cleaning tools, solvents, and equipment safely
• Record inspection and production data accurately in logs or systems
• Communicate nonconformances and quality concerns to leads or supervisors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with 5
• S and safety standards
• Support continuous improvement, quality, and lean manufacturing initiatives
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and quality goals
