POSITION SUMMARY

Britt Music & Arts Festival is seeking an energetic, detail-oriented Seasonal Marketing Assistant to support the marketing team during the festival season. This hands‑on role is ideal for someone interested in arts marketing, live events, social media content creation, and audience engagement.

The Seasonal Marketing Assistant will play a key role in capturing the excitement of live performances, supporting email communications, developing community partnerships, and helping distribute promotional materials. Evening and weekend availability is essential, as many responsibilities take place during performances and events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Event Content Capture
  • Attend concerts, performances, and special events throughout the season.
  • Capture high-quality photo and video content for social media, email, and future promotions.
  • Gather behind-the-scenes moments, audience reactions, and on-site atmosphere.
  • Organize and upload content promptly after events.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align content with campaign priorities.
Email Marketing Support
  • Assist in building and scheduling patron communications using email platforms.
  • Support creation of Know Before You Go emails for upcoming performances.
  • Prepare and distribute post-performance surveys and follow-up emails.
  • Help proofread copy, links, dates, and formatting for accuracy.
Community Partnerships & Reciprocal Marketing
  • Research and identify local businesses, tourism partners, arts organizations, and community groups for potential cross‑promotion opportunities.
  • Help build and maintain relationships with partner organizations throughout the region.
  • Coordinate reciprocal marketing efforts such as brochure exchanges, newsletter mentions, social media swaps, giveaway collaborations, and shared audience promotions.
  • Track outreach efforts, partnership deliverables, and promotional timelines.
  • Represent Britt Music & Arts Festival professionally in communications with community partners.
Community Promotion & Distribution
  • Assist with brochure, flyer, and poster distribution throughout the region.
  • Help restock marketing materials at local partner businesses, visitor centers, and community hubs.
  • Support grassroots promotional efforts as needed.
Administrative & Team Support
  • Provide general marketing support during the busy summer season.
  • Assist with basic reporting, asset organization, and project coordination.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS Required
  • Strong interest in marketing, communications, events, or the arts.
  • Comfortable using smartphones and basic content creation tools for photo/video capture.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Confidence reaching out to community organizations and businesses professionally.
  • Reliable transportation for local distribution and outreach tasks.
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and outdoor events.
  • Ability to lift and carry boxes of brochures/materials occasionally.
Preferred
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Instagram and Facebook.
  • Familiarity with email platforms.
  • Previous experience in events, hospitality, arts organizations, or community outreach.
  • Basic photo/video editing skills.
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.
COMPENSATION, WORK SCHEDULE, ENVIRONMENT &

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a seasonal hourly position starting May 25, 2026 and ending October 2, 2026. We estimate this job will be about 20 hours per week and will mostly involve evening and weekend work, though some daytime, administrative hours are required. Any hours exceeding the non-seasonal estimates or 40 hours in a workweek must be approved in writing by the Director of Marketing & Development.
