Job Summary:
Coordinates Spirit Mountain Community Fund (SMCF) granting, special projects and conducts research on nonprofit organization applicants and proposed projects. Analyzes Letters of Inquiries or other proposals to standards of due diligence. Manages process and coordinates with multiple parties to ensure that grants are processed thoroughly and efficiently. Represents the fund to nonprofit organizations and local government agencies.
Essential Functions- Coordinates grants, grant flow and records all inquiries and applications for projects. Provides proposal assessments under the direction of Supervisor.
- Communicates SMCF policies and requirements to nonprofit organizations, local governments and tribal governments. Provides timely and reliable responses to requests for information or process assistance.
- Conducts initial review of Letters of Inquiry (LOI) and application materials submitted, applying established criteria to evaluate whether proposals qualify to move forward based on policy.
- Conducts necessary research on nonprofit organizations and any identified issues, and conducts budget and financial analysis.
- Prepares reports, correspondence and other documents.
- Ensures reliable and responsive grant process operations, coordinating smooth processes and implementation.
- Manages grantee agreements and correspondence.
- Acts as a coordinator and facilitator of interactions between SMCF, Board of Trustees, government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
- Serves as a public representative for SMCF, manages social media accounts and updates website with posting deadlines and necessary content.
- Gives public and webinar presentations about SMCF and assists with providing grant training courses.
- Provides AV / technical support as needed.
- Attends meetings of various government, community and nonprofit groups.
- Assists with coordinating project site visits when needed.
- Provides necessary information and technical support for applicants through oral and written communications.
- Coordinates grants administration activities with staff and finance department.
- Assures compliance with SMCF policies and requirements for all projects.
- Regularly attends meetings with the Board of Trustees and other community groups as directed.
- Provides public presentations and representation of SMCF.
- Participates in program planning activities.
- Assists in the development and preparation of materials for the SMCF Board of Trustees.
- Coordinates award payments with the finance department.
- Assists other staff members as needed.
- Performs a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Requires an Associate’s degree.
- Requires a minimum of four (4) years’ work experience of equivalent complexity and responsibility.
- OR equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Employees may be required to drive for work-related purposes and must maintain a valid Oregon Driver’s License (ODL), meet company vehicle insurance requirements, and provide proof of personal vehicle insurance.
- Ability to independently collect data, establish facts, draw relevant conclusions and develop sound recommendations required.
- Ability to learn relevant rules or guidelines and to understand legal documents required.
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial reports and documents required.
