As a Wound Care Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive wound management.

Key responsibilities include:

• Treating skin reactions
• Preventing skin breakdown
• Managing vascular ulcers, pressure ulcers, and diabetic ulcers
• Initiating preventative measures
• Applying topical therapies
• Educating patients and their support on care techniques
• Assessing and treating draining wounds and fistulae
• Designing pouch systems for draining wounds and fistulae
• Implementing preventative actions to reduce the incidence of pressure ulcers and vascular ulcers
• Providing instruction on proper wound dressing
• Educating patients on ulcer prevention and treatment
• Hyperbaric treatments

Our comprehensive wound care program covers a wide range of wound types, including:

• Acute wounds
• Surgical wounds
• Traumatic wounds
• Non-healing wounds
• Ulcers
• Chronic venous insufficiency
• Gangrene
• Radiation injury
• Burns

To ensure the best outcomes for our patients, we utilize advanced treatment modalities such as:

• Bioengineered skin
• Debridement
• Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT)
• Incision and drainage
• Negative pressure-assisted wound closure
• Post-surgical incision management
• Unna boot
• Total contact casting

• Board Certification/Board Eligibility:
  • Required
• Active OR License:
  • Required
• Clean Background/No Malpractice:
  • Highly preferred
• Availability:
  • Must be available for at least 1 week
• Credentialing Requirements:
  • Successful completion of an approved residency training program
  • At least 2 successful basic sharp wound debridements within the past 12 months
