Job Description

Location: UCHealth Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion, Aurora, CO.

Department: Med Surg Progressive Care.

Work Schedule: Full Time, 72 hours per pay period (2 weeks). Shift: Day and Night Rotation.

Pay: $35.29 - $54.71 per hour, dependent on relevant experience. This is an onsite role; no hybrid or remote option is available.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program.
  • State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • 6 months of ICU or PCU (Progressive Care Unit) nursing experience (RN) or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program.
  • A CL (CPR) BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, with card in hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must remain valid for at least sixty days after hire.

Responsibilities:

Provide top‑scope practice in direct patient care utilizing the nursing process. Value a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritize wellness, patient perspective, and evidence‑based practice. Model proficiency through precepting those new to healthcare and/or UCHealth. Welcome new knowledge in a fast‑paced, innovative clinical environment. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care.

Progressive Care Unit Focus: Direct care in a technically complex environment. Utilize AACN's Synergy Model and various specialty certification standards within evidence‑based care models for the PCU. Clinical Educators support and guide individualized specialty education and training for competency validation throughout clinical orientation.
