Job Overview
St. Mary’s Regional Hospital, part of Intermountain Health, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cardiovascular OR RN to join our surgical services team. The RN will play a vital role in delivering safe, high‑quality care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses to ensure seamless operations and exceptional outcomes.
Responsibilities- Recognize and address patients’ psychological and physical needs.
- Foster continuity and quality of care with the best interest and well‑being of patients and their families in mind.
- Assess a patient’s medical status upon admission.
- Assist in developing individualized treatment plans.
- Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines.
- Operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
- Communicate verbally and listen to alarms, needs, and information quickly and accurately, especially during emergencies.
- Perform physical tasks such as lifting, transferring, and ambulating patients, and handling supplies and equipment of varying weights.
- BSN from an accredited program.
- Current Colorado RN license or compact license with the ability to obtain a Colorado RN license, required.
- Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire (ACLS/NRP/PALS as appropriate for unit or service) required.
- At least one (1) year of cardiovascular nursing experience in a comparable acute care/surgical services setting, highly preferred.
Department:
Operating Room.
Shift: 10 hours/day Monday‑Friday with variable call days, including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical demands:
Frequent patient handling, use of complex equipment, prolonged standing and walking, and ability to navigate busy rooms filled with equipment.

CompensationHourly range: $36.71 – $56.17, dependent upon experience.
