Beyond daily patient care, you’ll also take part in professional development opportunities through workshops, in‑service training, and ongoing education. Starting hourly rate is $52.58, which includes a comprehensive benefits package.
QualificationsLicense Requirement: License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full‑time oncology nursing experience;
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full‑time critical care experience;
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of two (2) years of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting;
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, the equivalent of one (1) year of full‑time medical‑surgical experience in an acute care setting and completion of Roswell Park nursing orientation with the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full‑time) as a Nurse I at Roswell Park.
NOTE:
1. Incumbents will serve a one (1) year full‑time probationary period as a Nurse II. 2. Degrees must be conferred by an accredited school, college, or university, or by an institution recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center and/or Health Research Incorporated as adhering to acceptable educational standards.
Ideally, the candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree or higher. Candidates should also have either at least one year of critical care experience or a minimum of two years of oncology experience in an acute care hospital setting. Additionally, CCRN certification is strongly preferred or required.
