Kaiser Permanente seeks an experienced RN for our Inpatient Cardiac Cath Lab. You’ll deliver high-quality, evidence-based care to cardiac patients before, during, and after catheterization procedures, collaborating with cardiologists, technologists, and IT-driven monitoring systems. Responsibilities include patient assessment, medication administration, hemodynamic and rhythm monitoring, documentation in electronic records, and emergency response. Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and related procedures
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, hemodynamics, and patient status during and after procedures
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and moderate sedation per protocol
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record
- Coordinate care with cardiologists, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members
- Respond to cardiac and procedural emergencies using ACLS protocols
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and quality standards in the Cath Lab
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and ongoing cardiac care
- Participate in continuous improvement, technology adoption, and professional development initiatives
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Active RN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Inpatient cardiac nursing
- Cardiac catheterization procedures
- Hemodynamic monitoring
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation (ECG/EKG)
- Moderate sedation administration and monitoring
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) documentation
- IV therapy and medication administration
- Infection control and sterile technique
- Rapid response and emergency care
