Data Center Technician Nights Shift, DCC Communities

Key Responsibilities

• Work to meet SLA’s against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow.
• Serve as the first line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues.
• Perform regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards, etc.).
• Carry out routine network, server hardware and OS related repairs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work.
• Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center.
• Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goal achievement.
• Help create documentation and process improvements relevant to the data center environment.
• Perform server upgrades, rebuilds, and scheduled work as required.
• Interact with third‑party vendors and contractors.
• Contribute to the development of other team members.

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.
• Work in an environment that operates 24/7 and participate in on‑call rotation and after‑hours support as needed.
• Some regional travel may be required.

• 1+ year of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair experience.
• 1+ year of computer networking experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience dealing effectively with customers during problem resolution and operating efficiently under pressure.
