The Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:

• Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
• Determining the priority of patients’ problems and needs.
• Implementing clinical nursing interventions.
• Applying a diverse skillset to enhance patient outcomes.
• Developing and performing patient care plans to improve outcomes.
• Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team focused on achieving best individual patient and population outcomes.
• Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
• Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
• Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients ranging from short-stay to trauma.
• Administer medications safely, consistent with state practice and organizational policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Graduate of an accredited associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing.

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (preferred at hire; ACLS and PALS required within six months).

• One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred, not required.

• EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).
