Job SummaryThe Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering exceptional nursing care to patients by:
- Utilizing strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status.
- Determining the priority of patients’ problems and needs.
- Implementing clinical nursing interventions.
- Applying a diverse skillset to enhance patient outcomes.
- Developing and performing patient care plans to improve outcomes.
- Ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
- Care for groups of patients in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting as part of an interprofessional team focused on achieving best individual patient and population outcomes.
- Evaluate, update, and revise the plan of care to facilitate achievement of planned and expected outcomes.
- Serve as point of contact for patients' care coordination throughout hospital departments.
- Provide care to a broad spectrum of patients ranging from short-stay to trauma.
- Administer medications safely, consistent with state practice and organizational policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited associate’s or bachelor’s degree in nursing.
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS (preferred at hire; ACLS and PALS required within six months).
- One (1) year of professional experience practicing as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Recent Emergency Department or Critical Care experience preferred, not required.
- EPIC Electronic Health Record training (preferred, not required).
