Allied Universal is seeking a professional, Armed Security Officer to join our Security & Law Enforcement team. In this role, you will protect clients, employees, and property through patrols, access control, incident response, and detailed reporting while ensuring compliance with DCJS standards and company policies. You will leverage advanced security technology and follow established procedures to prevent and resolve security issues.

Responsibilities
- Provide armed security presence in accordance with Virginia DCJS regulations and Allied Universal policies
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols of assigned premises to deter and detect suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security breaches
- Control access to facilities by verifying identification, credentials, and visitor authorization, and enforcing entry procedures
- Maintain constant situational awareness and promptly respond to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and requests for assistance
- Operate and monitor security technology such as CCTV, access control systems, and communication devices
- Perform professional, courteous interactions with clients, employees, and visitors while upholding a strong customer service standard
- Document all incidents, observations, and activities in clear, accurate, and timely written reports and electronic logs
- Safely carry, handle, and secure assigned firearm, following all safety protocols and use-of-force guidelines
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and client representatives as needed during incidents or investigations
- Participate in required training, firearms qualification, and ongoing development to maintain DCJS armed certification and company standards
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Virginia DCJS regulations and armed security protocols
- Firearms handling, safety, and marksmanship
- Threat assessment and situational awareness
- Access control and badge/
- Patrol methods for interior and exterior environments
- Incident response and de-escalation techniques
- Report writing and incident documentation
- Two-way radio and security technology use (CCTV, access control systems)
- Customer service and professional communication
- Conflict resolution and crisis management
- Basic computer literacy for logs and reporting systems
