Mobile Maintenance Technician

Responsible for assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, housekeeping, and repairs on commercial buildings, industrial systems, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairs of buildings and installed systems, including packaging and handling machinery, plumbing, kitchen equipment, roofs, drains, shop and grounds equipment, and HVAC.
  • Clean, lubricate, and service pumps, valves, pneumatic controls, electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic devices.
  • Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Replace and repair building finishes such as ceiling tiles, door hardware, wallpaper, paint, piping, floors, and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades to maintenance operations and implement savings opportunities.
  • Use tools and equipment for facility and ground maintenance competently.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations and customer service requests.
  • Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions and for preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain and operate fire and life safety systems such as fire alarm systems and fire pumps.
  • Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
  • Comply with applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency requirements, and company directives related to building operations and safe work habits.
  • Use technology such as smartphones, tablets, computers, web‑based applications, and building automation systems.
  • Complete all required C&W Safety Training annually.
  • Maintain a neat appearance and comply with the C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and during non‑working hours.

Education
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Experience
  • 2+ years of related experience in a commercial property setting.
Eligibility Qualifications
  • Technical, vocational, or on‑the‑job training in at least one of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Valid driver’s license (commercial license may be required) and good driving record with periodic checks.
  • Basic computing skills in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Regular travel between properties may be required in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands
  • Stoop, stand, climb, and frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and install rigging/lifting devices.
  • Crouch, bend, and reach to install or move equipment.
  • Move between departments, floors, and properties to facilitate work.
  • Communicate clearly and read/speak oral and written information.
  • Use vision to read printed material, drawings, and schematics.
Compensation

$22.10 – $26.00 per hour.
