COVE CHERRIES GENERAL LABOR

Orchard workers perform a variety of manual and equipment-assisted tasks involved in the production of tree fruit crops, including apples, cherries, and other orchard fruits. Duties include planting, pruning, training, thinning, irrigating, and maintaining fruit trees to support healthy growth and quality fruit production.

Workers use ladders, hand tools, and basic orchard equipment safely. Duties also include orchard sanitation, irrigation checks, brush and debris removal, bird control, and assisting with installation or removal of orchard coverings or netting when required. Workers observe tree and crop conditions and report pest, disease, or maintenance issues to supervisors. All work is performed in accordance with food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.

Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in different weather conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
• Ability to perform repetitive hand motions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Availability to work early mornings, long hours, and seasonal schedules

Qualifications Preferred:

• Prior orchard or agricultural experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Attention to detail and quality standards
