Responsible for the development and implementation of a variety of complex and sometimes controversial natural resource management and protection programs.
Programs include fish and wildlife management, soil conservation, forestry and vegetation management, fire protection, cultural resources protection, flood damage reduction and resolution of encroachments on public lands.
Responsible for all resource management and visitor services activities within a project.
Supervises implementation and coordination of approved mitigation plans and other authorized land management plans, operational controls, and procedures governing conservation and use of project resources.
Reviews requests for leases, licenses, and special use permits.
Plans, prepares, schedules, and sets priorities for work to be accomplished.
