Location: Donald

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Quality Control Document Specialist role in Donald, OR. Our client is a well‑established manufacturer with a strong commitment to quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. This role works closely with the production floor, engineering, and sales teams to ensure quality issues are properly documented, investigated, and resolved in accordance with ISO 9001 standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document quality issues reported both internally and externally.

  • Communicate quality concerns internally and bring awareness to appropriate departments.

  • Complete engineering change requests related to production floor issues to help prevent recurrence.

  • Manage the Nonconformance Report (NCR) process to ensure root causes are identified and corrective actions are implemented.

  • Follow up after corrective actions to verify effectiveness and determine if additional action is required.

  • Support and help maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards.

  • Assist in the standardization of quality standards and expectations across departments.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and collaborate with appropriate teams to implement solutions.

  • Prepare and maintain customer‑required manufacturing and quality documentation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:
  • Required: Minimum of 2 years of technical experience to support understanding of manufacturing processes and their limitations.

  • Preferred: 5 years of experience in manufacturing and/or quality control.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate quality concerns, corrective actions, and root cause analyses internally and occasionally with customers.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and thorough documentation practices.

  • Ability to work independently, problem‑solve with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.

Workplace Expectations:
  • Report to the workstation on time and accurately record all hours worked.

  • Work overtime when approved or requested by management.

  • Maintain professionalism and cooperation with coworkers, customers, and vendors.

  • Respect confidentiality of company and customer information.

  • Follow all safety requirements and workplace policies.

  • Maintain neat, accurate, and legible documentation and a clean, orderly work area.

  • Demonstrate sound judgment and tact when handling sensitive or challenging situations.

Work Environment:

This position is based in a manufacturing environment and will require time spent in production areas, warehouses, and outdoor storage yards. Exposure to dust, dirt, fumes, and varying weather conditions may occur. Occasional visits to suppliers, manufacturers, and customers may also be required.

Hours:
  • Full‑time position

  • Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

  • Overtime may be required as needed
