QA Specialist - Analyst/Manager, Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Location: Sisters
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Technician to join our team in Sisters, Oregon
. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, high-quality production of our products through documentation, monitoring, auditing, and verification of quality and food safety processes.
Working closely with Production and Quality teams, you will help maintain compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality programs while supporting a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Shift ScheduleTues‑Thu 5am‑5:30pm PST (12‑hour shifts, Full Time).
What You’ll Do Quality & Food Safety- Perform and document quality checks throughout the production process.
- Monitor and verify production procedures, logs, and batch records for accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Support compliance with HACCP, GMP, SSOP, SQF, Organic, Kosher, and other applicable food safety programs.
- Assist with internal audits and corrective actions related to food safety and quality systems.
- Promote and reinforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) across all departments.
- Review and maintain quality documentation, records, and procedures.
- Verify held or quarantined materials are properly identified, isolated, inventoried, and communicated to appropriate teams.
- Utilize ERP systems and other tools to support quality and inventory controls.
- Assist in the development and continuous improvement of quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
- Partner with Production, Operations, and other departments to ensure quality standards are consistently met.
- Collect and analyze quality data to support informed decision‑making and process improvements.
- Participate in investigations and responses related to consumer concerns.
- Communicate procedures and quality expectations effectively with team members.
- Lead by example through professionalism, integrity, teamwork, and a commitment to company values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Associate degree or coursework in Food Science, Food Safety, Food Manufacturing, or a related field OR at least six months of experience in a food manufacturing or production environment.
- Working knowledge of food safety principles, including HACCP, GMPs, and SSOPs.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, spreadsheets, and document management.
- Ability to learn and navigate ERP systems and production software.
- Certifications related to Food Safety, HACCP, GMPs, SQF, or Quality Assurance.
- Experience conducting audits, inspections, or quality monitoring activities.
- Experience in a laboratory or food manufacturing environment.
- Project management experience.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solution‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Ability to interpret procedures, technical documents, and safety guidelines.
Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, up to 12 hours per shift.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, forklifts, pallet jacks, pumps, and food processing equipment.
- May work in varying temperatures, including refrigerated and outdoor environments.
- Ability to lift, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed.
- Ability to safely navigate active production areas while following all safety protocols.
