Job Summary

Research Professionals work with faculty to collect data, maintain databases, conduct statistical analysis, and provide other support for faculty research projects. This position is expected to last one year with the possibility of a second.

Responsibilities
  • Collect data, conduct complex statistical analysis, write statistical software programs, and organize the presentation of results.
  • Serve as the point of contact for scheduling, organizing events, and conducting outreach for studies and media.
  • Coordinate and implement online and in‑person experiments, including megastudies.
  • Develop and program surveys and experimental materials.
  • Create charts, tables, and descriptive text for presentations.
  • Maintain databases, review background materials, and perform preliminary research.
  • Obtain and organize information for research from other academic institutions and practitioners.
  • Proofread and edit citations of research reports, working papers, IRB protocols, and publications.
  • Maintain effective communication with all faculty members and outside institutions.
  • Provide technical and administrative support for research projects.
  • Analyze and maintain data and/or specimens, conduct literature reviews, and assist with preparation of reports, manuscripts, and other documents.
  • Perform other related work as needed.
Education
  • Minimum:
    Bachelor’s degree or higher in a field relevant to the research being conducted, such as psychology, behavioral science, public health, pre‑med, neuroscience, or economics.
Work Experience
  • Minimum of one year of relevant research experience.
  • Background with research methods and experimental design.
  • Familiarity with clinical or healthcare research settings.
  • Background supporting IRB protocols or clinical trials.
Technical Skills or Knowledge
  • Demonstrated proficiency in R, STATA, Python, or related software.
  • Proficiency in survey tools such as Qualtrics.
  • Skilled at managing large datasets and conducting statistical analyses.
Preferred Competencies
  • Strong organization and project‑management skills.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent strategic planning, critical‑thinking, analytical, and persuasion skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple detailed tasks/projects simultaneously and meet strict deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and diplomatically with colleagues, students, faculty, and corporate contacts.
  • Professional demeanor, including tact, discretion, and a customer service–oriented approach.
Working Conditions

This position is expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
