Position 2:
July 27, 2026 – November 20, 2026
- Conduct field sampling, laboratory analysis, and data collection for life‑history and natural production studies of salmon and steelhead.
- Perform habitat surveys of streams and riparian areas.
- Survey juvenile fish populations.
- Capture and tag juvenile Chinook salmon and steelhead.
- Enter and assist with data analyses.
- No formal minimum qualifications required, but preference given to candidates with:
- Monitoring and data collection experience.
- Data entry skills.
- Natural resource survey experience.
- Current pursuit or possession of a Fisheries or Wildlife Science degree or related biological/ecological science degree.
- Hold or be able to obtain a Boater Education Card within 30 days of hire.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to drive for the position.
- Within three days of hire, complete the U.S. Department of Homeland Security I‑9 form.
- ODFW participates in E‑Verify.
- Finalists subject to a criminal history and motor vehicle check.
