We have a new job opportunity! The 0.6% FTE post will be based with ECEHH at our Truro Campus and is on a fixed‑term basis from 01/12/2022 until 30/09/2026.
The PostYou will play a key role within the University of Exeter research team investigating how Urban Green‑ and Blue‑Space (UGBS) can deliver equitable health benefits as part of the Prevention Research Partnership funded ‘Groundswell’ project. The focus is on the role of different forms of UGBS decision‑making and policy, identifying who is involved (or not), the processes and tools used, and how we can make UGBS interventions more inclusive and robust to unintended consequences.
Successful candidates will join a friendly team at Exeter’s European Centre for Environment and Human Health in Cornwall, working closely with leading academics at Liverpool, Queens Belfast, Glasgow and Edinburgh, as well as with stakeholders from National and Local government, the 3rd sector, and communities.
Applicants should possess a relevant PhD or equivalent qualification/experience with demonstrable experience and specialist knowledge in public health, planning and/or environment‑related policy and decision‑making to contribute to the Groundswell programme. Experience or knowledge of research methodologies such as realist evaluation, qualitative comparative analysis, or other related methods used to understand complex systems is required. The successful applicant should be able to work collaboratively and may, depending on experience, be required to supervise the work of others.
