Post Doctoral Fellow - Pediatric Sarcomas

A translational research lab at Emory University and the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center is seeking a post‑doctoral associate interested in pediatric sarcomas. We are looking for an intelligent and highly motivated individual that will provide significant scientific expertise to our laboratory studying the development and progression of pediatric sarcomas.

The applicant should be proficient in basic research and molecular methods, including cell culture, western blotting, qPCR, etc., and familiar with using animal model systems. Knowledge of genetics, molecular biology, and cancer biology is also preferred. Potential projects include gaining insights into the molecular pathogenesis of sarcoma development and metastasis, furthering our understanding of therapeutic resistance, microenvironmental factors, and transcriptional regulation.

The applicant should be capable of performing independent work, but also be willing to assist others and help mentor more inexperienced/junior members of the laboratory. Integration of the applicant’s prior research experience and independent ideas will be highly encouraged and considered. Strong writing and oral communication skills are required, with willingness to participate and present research at laboratory meetings and conferences.

The post‑doctoral associate will meet regularly with the PI to discuss progress, technical issues, and future directions.
