Store Manager, Retail & Store Manager

Gold Beach Lumber Yard, Inc. seeks a hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations at our community-focused hardware and building materials store. You will oversee staff scheduling, coaching, and performance, ensuring friendly, knowledgeable service for contractors and DIY customers. Responsibilities include inventory control, merchandising, safety, and store appearance. You'll manage cash handling, basic financial reporting, and vendor coordination while solving customer problems and supporting project needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily store operations, opening/closing, and overall store readiness
• Supervise, train, and schedule staff to deliver friendly, knowledgeable service
• Manage inventory levels, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation for lumber, hardware, and building materials
• Maintain merchandising standards, signage, and clean, safe store conditions
• Handle cash management, deposits, and basic financial and sales reporting
• Resolve customer issues and support contractor and DIY project needs with practical solutions
• Coordinate with vendors and deliveries to ensure product availability and accuracy
• Enforce safety procedures and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
• Monitor sales performance and support local marketing or community events
• Collaborate with ownership to implement process improvements and meet store goals
