GENERALPURPOSE OF JOB
To ensure a superior level of customer service; to supervise location in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager; to maintain the quality of merchandising and product presentation within the location.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- In the absence of the location manager or assistant manager, managing the store in a way that ensures that customers receive the highest level of service
- Make break schedules and complete times sheets
- Direct personnel in their daily tasks assigned by the location management
- Ensure personnel stay on task through proper follow up and delegation
- Review staff performance and offer constructive feedback or coaching
- Train and develop employees to achieve success in their current roles while preparing them for future growth
- Participate in ad set, inventory, freight flow, and cycle count processes
- Approve returns and discounts in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager
- Ensure that the store is recovered, merchandise is faced, and product rotation occurs on dated goods
- Review all company and store communications to effectively communicate and coordinate information across teams, ensuring messages are understood and directed to the appropriate individuals.
- Ensure that signing, displays, and safety concerns are addressed and corrected
- Perform opening and closing procedures
- Balance cash drawer and safe daily and complete change orders weekly
- Offer assistance and support to location personnel
- Sales floor time should be 80% or more of your scheduled shift
- Perform other tasks and duties as requested by supervising manager
- This position has supervisory responsibilities over location personnel in the absence of the location manager or assistant manager
- Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to work calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and guidance
- Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize projects
- Independent judgment and decision making abilities
- High level of integrity
- Ability to perform effectively in both individual and team environments
- Comprehensive understanding of the company and its products and services
- Excellent prioritization and organizational abilities

The pay range for this role is:
19.81 - 24.21 USD per hour (Business Office)
