The DIVOI team "Diversity And Sustainable Use Of Plant Genetic Resources Of The Indian Ocean" of the PVBMT UMR conducts research for the conservation and sustainable use of plant biodiversity in the agroecosystems of Reunion and the Indian Ocean. It manages collections of genetic resources of tropical food plants (vanilla, tropical garlic, corn, root and tuber plants and seed vegetables) conserved in the CRB VATEL, and has been running the Germination network since 2007 which brings together partners from the southwest Indian Ocean region working for the conservation of plant genetic resources.

Since 2007, several projects have allowed to preserve the genetic resources of many species and the Germination 3 project which ended in 2025 has allowed to set up a database and a website to consult them. It is a question of continuing the animation of this network, the collaborative feeding of the database and the updating of the dedicated website.

In this context, the person recruited will have as main missions:

- Support the project Diverrss-Oi coordination team for the animation of the network of partners (organization of meetings, COPIL, CST, census of needs and organization of training or other events) - Contribute to the compilation and consolidation of the annual reporting of the project
- Contribute to the valorization and visibility of the project and its results, in connection with the provider in charge of the communication, based in Madagascar
- Coordinate and contribute to the collaborative feeding of the database by partners and collection managers to store and disseminate information on the genetic resources of the southwest Indian Ocean
- Ensure the update of the web interface in connection with the provider The person recruited will work mainly in the premises of the CIRAD station of Ligne-Paradis in St Pierre (Reunion). He may occasionally be required to carry out short missions in the other countries of the COI. He will work in direct connection with the project Diverrss-Oi coordination team, with the providers in charge of the global communication of the project and the maintenance of the database, as well as with the head and the managers of the genetic resources collections of the CRB Vatel.

If you have already carried out a period of VSC, it must not exceed 24 months.

Desired Profile:
The candidate selected for this position should if possible:

- Hold a degree of level Bac+5 in the field of Agriculture and/or Biology
- Have knowledge and/or experience of communication and animation tools
- Have knowledge and/or experience in database management
- Have good written and oral communication skills
- Have a good written and oral understanding of English
- Have a B permit of more than 6 months

Constraints Of The Position:
Work on screen more than 4 hours/day Work in tropical / humid / subtropical area
