Roving Maintenance Technician (East Side) – Full Time (Apartment Community)

Location:

Eastside of Portland, OR. 40 hours per week, including one weekend day and on-call shifts. 100% employer-paid medical, life and disability insurance.

• Service Requests/Maintenance
• Routine service requests completed within a 24-48 hour period
• Emergency service requests completed as soon as possible
• Preventative maintenance projects scheduled and completed timely
• Travel to other properties to cover staffing shortages or for emergency response as needed
• Apartment turns
• Assist resident manager with preliminary inspections
• Complete turnover painting/caulking
• Check appliances and light fixtures for proper operation; repair or replace as needed
• Repair or replace damaged drywall, doors, molding and trim
• Complete other maintenance needed to make units rent-ready, including trash removal and mold/mildew remediation
• Property appearance and maintenance of offices, clubhouses, models, fitness center, pool areas, laundry rooms, restrooms, picnic areas, tennis courts, and common areas
• Inspect and maintain property lighting; notify for outside vendor support when needed
• Complete special property projects assigned by the resident manager
• Resident relations: interact with residents in a professional and friendly manner
• Compliance with state and federal Fair Housing Laws
• Safety: adhere to Carla Properties safety program
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., climb a 12-foot ladder, use basic hand tools, kneel, squat and bend
• Assist in two-person lift of household appliances (refrigerator, range, dishwasher, washer, dryer, water heaters, etc.)

• Professional appearance and demeanor; able to perform duties safely and effectively
• Strength and flexibility to meet physical requirements (lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, kneel, squat, bend)
• Visual inspection and troubleshooting of various household components (appliances, heaters, lighting ballasts, etc.)
• Preferred:
  Multifamily maintenance experience 3+ years and/or construction/remodel experience 3+ years

Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Thursday – Monday, 40 hours/week; days off are Tue/Wed; standard hours vary by day, with weekend shifts noted.
