Forklift Mechanic

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a Forklift Mechanic role in Noti, OR

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and propane/diesel systems.
• Complete routine service tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, battery maintenance, and component replacements.
• Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, service logs, and repair documentation.
• Communicate equipment issues, repair timelines, and parts needs with supervisors and team members.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Assist with equipment inspections and support operational teams as needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
• Previous experience as a forklift mechanic or in industrial equipment maintenance is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings or weekends, as required.
