Qualifications:

The person in this roll will be required to work in a field environment in the erection of shop buildings and other structures.

Position Summary: This position requires an energetic and detail-focused individual to work in various weather conditions, heights, diverse terrain, and challenging environments. The candidate will work in various construction ventures that consist of wireless cell tower, structural buildings, and many other construction type projects. The candidate will adhere to safety guidelines and industry standards. the candidate will work with the lead and other crew members to complete projects according to structural drawing, assembly drawing, and use checklist for verification.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

the candidate must be able to perform effectively in each of these areas;

  • Erect, assemble, and weld large complex projects with minimal guidance or mistakes and follow through with non-conformance processes and resolutions
  • Work on tower and other structures, looking after all aspects of work performed, ensuring that a quality installation has been performed, including rigging, hoisting, landing, fastening, etc.
  • Use the tool and equipment checklist to verify trucks and trailers are loaded and stocked with all the needed tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure all materials and parts accounted for according to drawing(s) prior to deploying to the jobsite.
  • Study all available materials and scope of work requirements pertaining to the project in advance. Notify the leadof any discrepancies or materials that need to be addressed or ordered.
  • Interprets blue prints and diagram and understand scope of work and exclusions outlined in the contract, makes recommendations if discrepancies are identified.
  • Execute and follow through with job instructions provided by the lead. Ensure materials and schedules are on time and accurate to complete assigned tasks or projects.
  • Ensure that all pre-construction documentation is competed according to contract documentation or customer requirements (Pre-com Meeting, Riggin Plan, Cutting and Welding Hazard Plan Hot Works Permit, etc.) and submitted prior to commencing work.
  • Operate various equipment; company vehicles, man-lifts, gradall's, forklifts, trucks, etc. will also assist in the delivery and pickup of shipments & supplies and assist in routine maintenance of vehicle and equipment.
  • Review work order(s) to determine what repairs or modifications are needed, then plan for the material and labor needed to accomplish work order.
  • Ensure that the established Tower Climbing and Fall Protection procedures are carried out in an effective manner.
  • Oversee that personnel inspect the personal fall protection equipment prior to each use.
  • Maintain equipment and vehicles in operational condition at all times. Verify that the maintenance on vehicles is up to date and proper checks are performed; oil level, tire pressure, other fluids, brakes, lights, etc. before leaving to the jobsite.
  • Maintain and enforce all construction safety standards, OSHA safety guidelines, perform daily jobsite safety inspections and equipment safety checks are performed prior to operation.
  • Confirm that products meet quality standards and all work is performed according to blueprints, industry engineering standards, contract documents, modification drawings, together with state, local, and OSHA regulations.
  • Ensure that

    PPE is in use at all times including hearing protection, vision protection, steel toes shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing.
  • Keep cleanliness of vehicles andtools are stored properly and accounted for after job completion and maintain a comprehensive list of all tools and equipment.
  • Complete all necessary tasks and documentaccording to project documents, submit all documentation to leadin an organized and timely manner. (photos, inspection, redlined, etc.)
  • Display a professional attitude and respect working relationships among co-workers at all times.
  • Verify that installation of products is completed in accordance with the project's shop drawings, manufacturer's installation instructions, the project architect's specifications, and the Field Quality Control Procedures.
  • Record and document work accomplished and hours workedon daily log sheets, ensure that receipts are marked properly with Job number and that field hours are recorded correctly on daily timesheets by job.
  • Keep track of milestones, worked performed, track efficiency and effectiveness, and follow up on trouble tickets to ensure a seamless construction process.
  • Ensures all equipment safety checks are performed priorto operation. Immediately stop work when unsafe work practices or conditions exist.
  • Suggest and helps implement cost-savings ideas, optimizes efficiency and quality practices.
  • Perform different miscellaneous tasks that have been instructed by the lead.
