Locations & Schedule- Monday – Friday every week
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- Work setting: repair / maintenance shop at the Arlington, OR landfill site
- Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
- Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
- Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles to ensure employee and community safety.
- Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
- Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
- Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
- Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
- 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Over 18 years of age.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
- Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.
- Exposure to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc., often.
- Exposure to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often.
- Work in both indoor garage/shop or gas plant conditions and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
- Starting salary of $26–$31 per hour depending on experience.
