Locations & Schedule
  • Monday – Friday every week
  • 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
  • Work setting: repair / maintenance shop at the Arlington, OR landfill site
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect, diagnose and repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
  • Estimate time and material costs on vehicle repairs and new parts.
  • Perform work within Standard Labor Repair Times (SRTs).
  • Respond to service calls for emergency breakdowns.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles to ensure employee and community safety.
  • Complete required paperwork, documenting parts usage and accounting for repair times.
  • Assist senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
  • Review, complete, or assign repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards and perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
Qualifications
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Over 18 years of age.
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, and climbing; constantly standing, walking, and grasping; occasionally sitting and balancing.
  • Exposure to physical occupational risks such as cuts, burns, toxic chemicals, etc., often.
  • Exposure to physical environment involving dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes or similar elements often.
  • Work in both indoor garage/shop or gas plant conditions and outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity.
