Selmet is seeking a skilled Millwright Limited Maintenance Electrician to support our precision titanium casting facility in Springfield, OR. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery, furnaces, and support equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation. You will perform mechanical and electrical diagnostics, read blueprints and schematics, and complete preventive maintenance on motors, PLC-controlled systems, and plant utilities.
Working in a precision-driven, safety-focused environment, you will partner with engineers and production teams to minimize downtime, support continuous improvement, and maintain high aerospace quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair production and facility equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on machinery and systems
- Read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and manuals
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, and controls
- Support furnace, casting, and machining equipment reliability and uptime
- Diagnose and repair PLC-controlled and automated systems at the equipment level
- Maintain maintenance records and documentation in compliance with standards
- Collaborate with engineering and production to improve equipment performance
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and OSHA requirements
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and facility projects
Required Skills
- Industrial electrical troubleshooting

- PLC and controls familiarity
- Variable frequency drives (VFDs)
- Welding and basic fabrication
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
