Bilingual Warmline Peer Support Operator

Seniority / FTE.375 FTE (15 hours per week). Swing shifts (4pm-12:30am), including at least one weekend shift.
CompensationPay grade B6 ($20.96 - $29.38 per hour, depending on experience). Shift differential pay ranging from $1 to $2.50 for nights and weekends. 10% increase to base pay after passing the bilingual test. $2,062.50 hiring bonus. (2‑year commitment, staggered‑taxed payout).

- Take calls from callers across the state and provide confidential, non‑judgmental support.
- Participate in ongoing training and team‑building activities.
- Maintain accurate records: enter data and produce reports for Shift Leaders or Supervisor.
- Provide timely professional communication with callers and staff.
- Person with lived experience of intense emotions who can provide support to others in difficult times.
- Must complete Core Training in Intentional Peer Support (IPS) and register with the Oregon Health Authority Traditional Health Worker registry as a Peer Support Specialist within six months of hire.
- Working understanding of Warmline operations, able to complete training role‑plays and weekly skill development.
- Minimal supervision capability.
- Commitment to policies, procedures, confidentiality, and cross‑cultural sensitivity.
- Strong communication, feedback, and team‑working skills.
- Willingness to learn basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher) and maintain written/digital logs.
- Regular use of computer and phone systems; ability to handle confidential information per client confidentiality laws.
Must pass criminal background checks per ORS 181.536‑181.537 and OAR 410‑007‑0200 through 410‑007‑0380. Monthly background checks thereafter. Pre‑employment drug screening required.
Physical DemandsRegular use of computer, phone, and office automation equipment. Tasks include typing, reaching, manipulating devices. Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or squatting when handling equipment.
Work EnvironmentWork performed at the sponsored location provided by funding counties; environment not predictable by CCS. Exposure to everyday risks such as moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, electrical shock, etc.
