I’m currently partnered with a highly advanced precision manufacturing business that supplies cutting‑edge industries, including aerospace, defense, healthcare, and high‑tech engineering.

They’re looking for a hands‑on Head of Software Engineering to lead the development of internal software platforms, automation systems, and AI‑enabled operational tools across the business.

You’ll lead a small internal engineering team while remaining deeply hands‑on technically. The environment is fast‑moving, highly autonomous, and focused on building practical solutions that operators and engineers actually use.

You’ll work closely with operational and engineering teams to rapidly prototype, iterate, and deploy solutions that improve efficiency across the company.

• Strong software engineering background (8+ years)
• Experience leading small engineering teams while staying hands‑on
• Full‑stack capability across web apps, backend systems, APIs, databases, and infrastructure
• Experience building internal tools, operational systems, or enterprise platforms
• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Someone pragmatic, delivery‑focused, and comfortable making decisions autonomously
• Experience with AI tooling, LLM APIs, or automation workflows
