We invested in year-round dry conditions. Langdon Farms remains as stated at the entrance, "Public Only." It hosts annually some of the most prestigious corporate and charity golf tournaments in the Portland metro area. It also hosts many weddings, corporate meetings, retirement parties, anniversaries, and school fundraisers in the unique Red Shed event venue.

The Assistant Golf Professional will assist in the daily operations of the Golf Shop, golf course, and day of operation of golf tournaments. This position involves providing exceptional service to members and guests, supporting golf operations, and helping to execute golf tournaments.

The Assistant Golf Professional will be responsible for promoting and selling golf merchandise, providing golf lessons, and be a leader of a team with an emphasis on exceptional customer service, personal presentation, innovation, and encouragement to staff.

• College education preferred. PGA Member/Associate in good standing or interest in PGA PGM program preferred.
• Proficiency in Golf Shop operations, merchandising and inventory management.
• Demonstrated quality interpersonal communication skills, leadership, presentation skills and accounting skills.
• Dedication and commitment to excellent customer service.
• Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including nights/weekends/holidays.
• P.O.S system and golf/catering software knowledge, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to teach golf and provide lessons to individuals and groups of all skill levels.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to safely operate a motorized vehicle, including a golf cart.
• Positive attitude, professional manner, and appearance in all situations.

• Foster a welcoming and professional environment for members, guests, and staff.
• Assist with tee time reservations, answer phone calls, golf merchandise, golf check-ins, and member inquiries.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date record of tee time reservations using the current booking tool.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints in a professional and timely manner.

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the Golf Shop, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service. (i.e daily opening/closing, starters, inventory, and cash control registers)
• Process transactions accurately using the (POS) system.
• Assist members and guests with the purchase of golf equipment, apparel, and accessories, ensuring the best customer experience.
• Ensure proper procedures are followed as outlined in the day-to-day operation of the Golf Shop
• Ensure cleanliness of all furnishings, fixtures, displays, counters and floors, and that the Golf Shop is visually appealing and welcoming to guests.

• Monitor inventory levels, restock merchandise, and report any out-of-stock items.
• Assist in receiving and checking in new shipments of golf-related products.

• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of golf-hosted events.
• Set up the golf course for daily play and tournaments, ensuring proper course conditions, tee times, and pace of play.
• Serve as facilitator during on-course day of tournaments, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that arise with client and resolve in a timely efficient manner.

• Provide golf lessons for guests, ranging from beginners to advanced players.
• Participate in junior golf programs and/or Pro-Am tournaments.
• Help maintain an engaging and educational atmosphere that fosters improvement and enjoyment of the game.
