Job Overview
The City of Junction City is currently recruiting to fill three (3) Seasonal Pool Supervisor positions at Max Strauss Swimming Pool. These are temporary, seasonal full-time positions. Pool Supervisors play a key role in ensuring a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained aquatic facility for the community.
ResponsibilitiesThis position is responsible for actively lifeguarding during public swims and programs using proactive scanning and preventative lifeguarding techniques, planning, coordinating, and teaching swim lessons as assigned, and assisting with daily pool operations. Supervisors will also support staff scheduling, review and maintain facility logs, monitor water chemistry, enforce safety and health regulations, and assist with coordinating swim meets and special programs.
Excellent customer service and clear communication with staff and the public are essential components of this role.
We foster a team-oriented, professional, and community-focused work environment. Pool Supervisors are expected to lead by example, support lifeguard staff, and maintain high standards of safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
Pay & BenefitsThis seasonal position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $17.88–$20.12
, depending on qualifications and experience. Ongoing training and in-service sessions are provided throughout the season.

Hiring Process ExpectationsApplicants must hold or be able to obtain required Red Cross certifications. Previous experience at a community pool preferred.
