Love the game of golf and enjoy being outdoors? Join the team at Sunriver Resort as a seasonal Player’s Assistant at our Meadows and Woodlands courses. The Player’s Assistant is responsible for monitoring the pace of play and enforcing golf rules to ensure overall guest satisfaction. The Player’s Assistant will maintain the AAA Four Diamond standards and uphold the Sunriver Resort Core Values of Trust, Open & Honest Communication, and Commitment.

- Greets and welcomes guests upon arrival
- Ensures guests are on the course in a timely and informed manner
- Obtains a copy of the day’s sheet and a radio for communications
- Encourages guests to visit the designated F&B outlet during their turns
- Verifies names on tee sheets
- Obtains receipt from groups and records transaction numbers on sheets
- Tracks cart numbers or walking, actual start time, turn time, finish time, etc. on tee sheets
- Monitors pace of play
- Maintains a strong knowledge of USGA rules of golf
- Enforces golf attire rules
- Informs groups of pertinent information such as topdressing, delays, unusual course maintenance, KP/LD contest, pace of play, etc.
- Keeps immediate area neat and free of litter
- Performs Outside Guest Services duties as required
- Enforces all USGA and Sunriver rules and regulations with firmness and diplomacy
- Maintains communication with golf shop to ensure smooth operation
- Provides daily pace of play to golf shop
- Monitors restrooms for cleanliness and cleans if necessary
- Ensures cart is maintained and functioning daily
- At the end of shift, ensures the cart is washed and properly stored
- Carries the rules and decisions book and offers knowledge to guests if necessary
- Maintains all ropes and stakes placed on the golf course to direct traffic for course playability
- Contacts appropriate party when a guest problem is reported
Experience &
Education:
- High school education required
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- At least one year of customer service experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of the game of golf required
- Must be able to work well under pressure
- Must be highly detail-oriented
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, snow, cold, sun & heat)
- Must be able to stand and walk throughout the day, including on uneven surfaces
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs
