We expect to fill few vacancy/vacancies at this time; however, additional positions may be filled from this announcement if they become available.
Appointment to this position will not convey permanent status in the Federal service and will be for a period non-to-exceed 13 months with possible extension up 4 years without re-announcement.
Duties- Operate one or more pieces of heavy engineering equipment during the performance of basic operations associated with the reconstruction and maintenance of gravel and/or surfaced highways and timber access roads.
- Equipment consists of tractors with attachments, dozer tractors, front-end loaders, backhoes, excavators, rollers, brooms, brush cutters, dump trucks with trailers, semi-truck with low-boy trailer.
- Work performed includes clearing brush, tree stumps, rocks, and other material; moving sand, gravel, snow, and ice; transferring material into dump trucks; and maneuvering equipment in confined areas.
- U.S. Citizenship is required.

- Appointment will be subject to a favorably adjudicated background/suitability investigation/determination.

- You must possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class B endorsement.
- An applicant appointed to this position must possess (or obtain within 30 days of entrance on duty) and maintain a valid state driver's license while employed in this position.
- This is a Bargaining Unit position.
- This is a Drug Testing Designated Position. You will be required to submit to screening for illegal drug use and pass prior to appointment. This position is subject to random testing for illegal drug use.
