Job Summary: The Harrisburg School District is seeking a dependable, safety‑focused Part‑Time School Bus Trip Driver to provide secure transportation for students attending athletic events, field trips, and other extracurricular activities during school hours, evenings, and weekends.

• Safely transport students to and from school, field trips, and other district‑sanctioned events.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in good operating condition.
• Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and school district policies.
• Monitor student behavior on the bus to ensure a safe and respectful environment.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
• Report any mechanical issues, delays, or accidents to the appropriate authorities promptly.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a School Bus (S) endorsement.
• Clean driving record with no history of major violations.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, reliability, and a genuine interest in working with children.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

$23.22 - $31.26 per hour. Placement on the salary schedule will be commensurate with experience.

Employer‑paid insurance CAP to assist with health, dental and vision premiums, employer‑paid Basic Life and AD&D policies. Two days of personal leave, ten days sick leave, seven paid holidays, and PERS retirement contribution. Applicable benefits will be prorated based on FTE.
