Substitute School Bus Drivers

Jefferson County School District is seeking substitute school bus drivers to fill in as needed during the  school year. We are willing to train the right candidates. Starting wage: $24.52/hour. Position summary:

This position transports students by Type 10 / Type 20 vehicle (mini bus or SUV) in a safe and professional manner.

Education, experience and certification/licensure (minimum qualifications):
All drivers or others employed or employed in that capacity must:

• Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described within this job description
• Be at least 18 years of age;
• Hold a valid Oregon Class C Driver's License - or have ability to obtain; and
• Hold a valid Type 10 or Type 20 Certificate - or have ability to obtain

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience working as a school bus driver in a k-12 environment.
• Experience working in a driver position in a non-school industry.
• Holds a valid Oregon Class C Driver's/license, a valid Type 10 or Type 20 Certificate, and the ability to obtain a valid First Aid/CPR card.
• Bilingual Spanish
