The Record to Report Accounting Team manages the center’s accounting and cash management functions. The Accounting Operations Group provides accounting services and support to WMG’s US record labels and businesses.

The Senior Accountant 2 is responsible for performing and managing advanced accounting and reporting activities across labels/affiliates and for reviewing the work of staff and offshore resources.

• Review the work of entry-level staff and provide feedback for corrections and process improvements.
• Perform advanced accounting tasks and analyses to support monthly and quarterly financial reporting in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist in the monthly close process, including preparing complex journal entries, monitoring sub-ledger interfaces, and ensuring timely analysis, preparation, and submission of close-related deliverables.
• Reconcile corporate cash activities and the intercompany cash netting process by coordinating with Cash and Treasury teams and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Perform variance analyses related to system reconciliations and ad hoc requests, providing timely support and explanations to stakeholders.
• Assist with the global intercompany reconciliation process by monitoring and resolving intercompany mismatches that impact the financial close.
• Collaborate with offshore team members by reviewing deliverables, providing feedback, and supporting the accurate and timely completion of assigned activities.
• Identify and implement automation opportunities within Black Line to enhance the close process and improve operational effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, accounting policies, and U.S. GAAP.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests, tax reporting requirements, and the preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.
• Maintain strong working relationships with business unit finance teams and other stakeholders while supporting cross-functional initiatives and special projects as needed.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 5-10 years of experience in Shared Service or Corporate Accounting and/or experience with a Big 4 CPA firm

Salary range: $90,000 to $95,000 annually. Salary ranges are included for job postings where required by law and may change based on experience and business needs.
