SummaryThe Bottle Drop Construction Manager’s primary responsibility is to support the Bottle Drop Development and Facility Maintenance Manager in the successful completion of assigned capital projects at Bottle Drop Redemption Centers. The Bottle Drop Construction Manager oversees job site safety, quality, project scheduling, and communications with the architect and consultants on field and constructability issues. This position is based out of our Clackamas, OR headquarters.
Travel throughout Oregon is required.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Responsible to move capital projects forward by working collaboratively with managers, Bottle Drop staff, project team members, and contractors.
- Manage job site safety, quality, and schedule for assigned projects from pre-construction to closeout.
- Regularly participate in the installation of doors, door frames, cabinetry, and finish carpentry materials when needed.
- Establish and maintain positive and effective relationships with subcontractors.
- Participate in preparing scope documents, RFPs and bid solicitation from subcontractors.
- Maintain positive communication with the project team, consultants/architect/engineers, adjacent community and governmental agencies.
- Setup up job site logistics, field coordination, and project schedule.
- Participate in the review of all project documents for constructability and content, including shop drawings.
- Maintain and update project schedule and records including RFI’s, COP’s and as-builts.
- Coordinate with building inspections, subcontractor inspections, and agencies.
- Conduct and/or attend on site project meetings, pre-task meeting, safety meetings and project staff meetings.
- Oversee job site manpower production and performance.
- Use project management and scheduling software effectively.
- Ensure OBRC’s standards of quality and safety are adhered to by assertively championing OBRC’s safety culture to project team and subcontractors.
- Adhere to OSHA Safety Standards and OBRC policies including Lock Out Tag Out.
- Adhere to proper PPE (safety glasses, hearing protection, hand protection) usage in designated areas of redemption centers, use of hi-visibility vest/shirts when working outdoors.
- Responsible for operating and maintaining OBRC’s vehicle and associated tools in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- High school or GED required, college degree is preferred.
- Previous relevant work experience.
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Foreman, or equivalent role, in the construction industry.
- Candidates must understand the construction industry, specifically building code, job site safety requirements, planning and scheduling, building trades and sequence of work, and relevant technology.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and establish effective working relationships at all levels with internal and external business partners.
- Access the rooftops of redemption center facilities to assess needs, priorities, and scope of projects.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects, adhere to deadlines, handle frequent changes effectively and professionally, follow through on issues in a timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A current driver’s license and an acceptable driving history are required.

TravelFrequent local and statewide travel is required. Periodic overnight stays may be required for project work.
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements- Work indoors and outdoors as needed in various temperatures/conditions.
- Occasionally work in a professional office environment and sit/stand at a desk, walk as needed.
