Job Description & How to Apply Below
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for a Creative Strategist who can bridge the gap between client expectations and creative execution. In this role, you will interpret client needs, shape the creative direction, and guide designers to develop visually compelling, strategically aligned work.
You must have a strong understanding of visual communication, branding, and design principles, and be able to explain creative expectations to designers clearly.
- Translate client briefs into clear creative strategies, visual direction, and actionable design instructions.
- Understand and articulate the look, feel, and mood clients expect in designs (style, colour schemes, tone, visual hierarchy).
- Guide designers and creative teams on layout, imagery, typography, and brand consistency.
- Work closely with clients (or account teams) to understand their vision and effectively communicate that vision to the design team.
- Develop creative briefs that include detailed design direction, visual references, and conceptual mood boards.
- Ensure the final creative output aligns with the strategic goals and client expectations.
- Stay updated on design trends, brand aesthetics, and market innovations to inspire fresh creative thinking.
- Attend client meetings and present creative strategies or rationale behind design approaches when needed.
- Collaborate with marketing, social media, and copywriting teams to deliver cohesive campaigns and branding projects.
- Background in branding, advertising, marketing communications, or visual arts.
- 3–5 years’ experience in creative strategy, branding, or design project management (agency and/or brand side).
- Strong visual communication skills and a good eye for design.
- Proven ability to interpret client needs and translate them into creative design direction.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills — clearly explaining visual concepts to non-designers and designers alike.
- Good understanding of design tools (like Adobe Creative Suite) — you don’t need to design, but you should know how good design is created.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Experience creating mood boards, visual guidelines, or reference decks.
