Apparel Designer – Athleisure, Outerwear

Job Description

• translate trend, cultural, competitive, and fabric insights into elevated, commercially successful product
• design across athleisure and outerwear categories with strong understanding of silhouette, proportion, comfort, functionality, and performance
• research emerging trends, fabrics, trims, washes, and white space opportunities relevant to the Comfrt customer
• create detailed tech packs, CADs, BOMs, and construction callouts for accurate execution
• partner closely with Fabric and Product Development and overseas vendors throughout development, fittings, proto reviews, and production
• participate in fittings and provide direction on fit, comfort, construction, and garment functionality
• develop seasonal color palettes and support cohesive assortment building across categories
• create and manage visual line plans to support merchandising strategy and product flow
• design within cost targets while maintaining elevated product integrity
• manage multiple projects simultaneously in a high SKU count, fast-paced environment
• collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, Marketing, Creative, Product Development, and Production teams to bring product to market quickly and successfully

• 7+ years in apparel design with a portfolio showing exceptional taste and commercial success
• athleisure and/or outerwear design experience preferred
• proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and ideally 3D design tools
• highly knowledgeable in textiles, garment construction, fit, and performance fabrics
• experience managing development calendars, vendor communication and navigating production realities
• strong understanding of garment costing and timelines
