Middle School Principal

North Marion School District is seeking an inspiring, student-centered leader to serve as the next Principal of North Marion Middle School. This opportunity is ideal for an instructional leader who understands the unique academic, social, and developmental needs of middle schoolers and is committed to building strong systems that support high-quality instruction and student well-being. This role calls for a visible, approachable principal who communicates clearly, follows through consistently, and builds trust through fairness, integrity, and respect.

With a focus on collaboration, continuous improvement, and inclusive leadership, the principal will foster a warm, welcoming school culture where students feel safe, known, and excited to learn; and where staff feel trusted, supported, and inspired to do their best work.

• Provide instructional leadership by guiding curriculum implementation and effective teaching practices.
• Lead school improvement and continuous growth through data analysis, goal setting, and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate to support diverse learners through MTSS, IEP, and 504 systems.
• Support student behavior and discipline using fair, consistent, and supportive practices.
• Model ethical and professional leadership with integrity, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
• Supervise, support, and evaluate staff through coaching, feedback, and professional learning.
• Manage school operations and resources, including budget, schedules, and systems.
• Lead school improvement and continuous growth with a focus on strong, coherent systems.
• Build strong partnerships with families and the community through communication and engagement.
• Create a positive school climate where students and staff feel safe, known, and valued.

• Bilingual - Spanish Speaking Preferred
• Hold a current Oregon School Administrative License or other appropriate license as issued by the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC);
• Must meet all other TSPC license requirements, including successful Background and Criminal History Clearance
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills and a commitment to professional, customer-focused service.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality while working collaboratively with diverse staff and stakeholders.
