Bethany High School is seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our faculty as a full-time Biology Teacher. The ideal candidate will inspire students to explore the wonders of biology while fostering a love for science and critical thinking. This role involves creating an engaging classroom environment, developing curriculum, and supporting students in their academic growth.

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Facilitate engaging classroom discussions and hands-on laboratory experiences to enhance student understanding of biological concepts.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, and projects, providing timely feedback and support.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance, reporting any concerns to appropriate staff and parents.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to integrate interdisciplinary approaches and support school-wide initiatives.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with advancements in biology education and pedagogy.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to foster a supportive learning community.
• Supervise and support extracurricular activities related to biology, such as science clubs or competitions.
• Uphold school policies and procedures while promoting a safe and respectful learning environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Education, or a related field
• Valid teaching certification in Secondary Education with a focus on Biology.
• Proven experience teaching high school biology or related subjects.
• Strong knowledge of biological concepts, laboratory techniques, and current scientific research.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing classroom activities and student assessments.
