• oregon teaching license
• native proficiency in english and the second instructional language.
• demonstrated ability to teach in english and in a second language.
• training or experience in teaching english as a second language.
• ability to teach in a multicultural setting, implementing multicultural educational practices in the curriculum.
• ability to manage use of instructional aide(s) and community resources in the classroom setting.
• experience in working with and ability to relate positively to children from diverse cultural, linguistic, and economic backgrounds.
